Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of the best adventures around Nepal and in all the Himalayas. Annapurna Base Camp located Nepal Mid-West around the district of Kaski and Gandaki Zone. The trek offers an amazing experience when you reach Pokhara, the tourist hub of Nepal.
Pokhara, is a renowned tourist destination where most treks and various adventures start and end. Similarly, our trek to Annapurna Base Camp begins from this scenic Pokhara city. Annapurna Base Camp trek can be done in various ways from a week or more days. Our adventure is a combination covering the best of Annapurna charming hills and view-points.
It includes moderate walks up to lovely Ulleri and Ghorepani Villages, allowing trekkers to experience local immense cultures. As the trek progresses through lovely dense woods of tall rhododendrons and pine trees. Reaching Ghorepani Village located beneath the famous picturesque Poon Hill for stunning sunrise. Poon Hill offers a grand panorama of the world’s three highest mountain ranges, namely Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and Annapurna Himalayas.
Completing the first phase of the adventure, our route leads to our ultimate destination Annapurna Base Camp. Located within Annapurna Sanctuary enclosed by arrays of snow-capped peaks, a stunning and most scenic highland plateau.
The walk to Annapurna Base Camp leads through a large Gurung Village of Chomrong. The gateway to Annapurna Sanctuary and base camp, the route follows towards Modi River gorge within forest and grassland.
As the walk progresses heading higher, then the gorge opens into a grand striking valley entering Annapurna Sanctuary. The trail gets pleasant with slow ups towards our final destination at Annapurna Base Camp.
Enjoy the overwhelming panoramic scenery of arctic zone landscapes enclosed by towering peaks of Mt. Annapurna. Includes Gangapurna, Annapurna South, Huin Chuli, Tent and Fluted Peaks with majestic Machhapuchare Himal, the famed Fish-Tail Peak. Enjoying a delightful time and experience at Annapurna Base Camp, the return journey takes you back to Pokhara. After a great wonderful adventure around the high hills of Annapurna Himalayas and Base Camp.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to a hotel.
On arrival at Kathmandu and Nepal Intenational Airport, after visa formalities, and claiming the baggage. Outside the exit terminal our staff and guide receives you for a short transfer to the hotel. After getting refreshed at the hotel, then join with other members of Annapuna Base Camp Trek for a briefing.
Briefing is done by our guide, group leader with full information of the treks, including hotels in Kathmandu. Local cultures with do’s and don’ts.
In the evening a lovely dinner and introduction to Nepali foods and culture.
Day 2: Tour of Kathmandu heritage sites of great interest.
Day 3: Fly to Pokhara 860 m and drive to Ulleri Village 2,070 m - 04 hrs.
Moning as time for the flight to Pokhara, transfer to Kathmandu domestic airport. After going through security, get on board in a big aircraft for a sweeping panoramic flight of 30 minutes. Enjoy the grand views of majesticnHimalayas from Langtang, Ganesh and Manaslu Himal to Annapuna range.
Landing at Pokhara airport, a few hours of exciting and scenic drive beyond the city and valley of Pokhara. Heading west to low warm farm country, and then driving leads towards cooler hills at Hille. A small lovely farm village, the drive leads to winding ups through Thirkhedhunga village with beautiful waterfalls.
From the bridge, the road climbs uphill for a short hour to Ulleri village, populated by Magar people, the main hill tribes of Westen Nepal.
Enjoy the views of Annapuna peaks and check into a nice local lodge, and explore the village farm life.
Day 4: Trek to Ghorepani village 2,885 m - 04 hrs.
Today a short moning walk to Ghorepani, from Ulleri after a short climb to Bhanthati. Then walk on a pleasant trail with slow winding up through a beautiful forest of pines and rhododendrons. After a few hours of good walks, reaching at the main entrance of Ghorepani village. A short walk to Upper Ghorepani village, where grand views of Dhaulagiri Himal range awaits you. Check into a nice lodge for lunch and ovenight stop, rest of the aftenoon enjoy the surrounding beautiful scenery. Ghorepani is located amidst enchanting woods of rhododendron and pine trees, beneath Poon Hill.
Day 5: Morning hike to Poon Hill and trek to Tadapani 2,640 m - 06 hrs.
Early moning hike up for an hour or more to the top of Poon Hill, for stunning sunrise views. A great scenic hill top and the highest point so far before Annapuna Base Camp, besides striking sunrise. Enjoy fabulous panorama of world’s highest peaks of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and Annapuna Himalayas with arrays of snow peaks.
After a fresh moning breathtaking views, walk down to Ghorepani for breakfast and continue the trek. The route leads on altenative trails with slow climbs to Deurali, almost the same height as Poon Hill. Facing tremendous views ofnDhaulagiri and Annapuna Himalayas with majestic Machhapuchare Himal, the famous Fish Tail peak. From Deurali top down to a gorge through beautiful dense rhododendron and pine woods to Bhanthati, a small settlement. Stopping for lunch in one of its many restaurants, aftenoon walk down to a stream.
After crossing a small bridge climb for an hour or more to Tadapani, a nice settlement with 5-6 lodges. Enjoy the views of Annapuna Himalayas from Tadapani, located amidst dense forest.
Day 6: Trek to Chomrong village 1,951 m - 06 hrs.
Moning from Tadapani, enjoy the grand views of Annapuna peaks, after breakfast the trek leads to a long descent. Walking through a dense forest of pines and rhododendron, reaching a bridge above Kimrong Khola, stream.
From the bridge climbs for an hour and then on a winding gradual path to Chomrong. A nice Gurung village and the last permanent settlement en-route Annapuna base camp and sanctuary. Chomrong offers good lodges for ovenight stops facing grand views of Annapuna Himalayas.
Day 7: Trek to Dovan 2, 130 m via Bamboo 2,050 m - 06 hrs.
From Chomrong moning walks on stone steps downhill to a fast running stream, crossing the bridge. Start the climb to Sinuwa Danda, a high ridge with a few nice shops and guest-houses. The walk leads on a winding gradual trail into dense rhododendron, oaks and pine trees with short descents to Bamboo.
A nice place with few lodges and restaurants, located amidst bamboo thickets and pine forest above Modi River gorge. Possible lunch stops, aftenoon few hours of good climb to Dovan with nice simple lodges. Situated on a shelf of Modi River, enjoy the comfort of a homely guest house.
Day 8: Trek to Machhapuchare Base Camp 3,720 m -06 hrs.
After a pleasant night with the sound of a river, a walk begins following the gorge above Modi River. As the trail leads to a short steep up into lush green vegetation and tall tree lines reaching Hinko Cave. Then descend to a small place at Himalaya Hotel, the adventure continues down close to a river bank.
A short climb reaches you on a small plateau at Deurali, having 4-5 nice lodges and restaurants. Stopping here for a refreshing lunch break, aftenoon walk follows the raging Modi River upstream through small bamboo grooves. The climb leads to steep uphill on stone steps reaching a high ridge at Machhapuchare Base Camp and MBC for short. Located directly beneath the staggering Machhapuchare Himal the Fish-Tail Peak with views of Annapuna-I, Annapuna South and Huin-Chuli. MBC provides a few nice simple lodges for ovenight stay, before heading towards Annapuna Sanctuary.
Day 9: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp 4,130 m - 03 hrs.
Today adventure takes you in the heart of Annapuna Sanctuary at Base Camp on the highest point of the trek. Moning walk follows a grassy slope uphill to enter the picturesque sanctuary enclosed by a series of snow-capped peaks.
A pleasant gradual walk of a few hours to reach at the end of the valley and plateau of Annapuna Sanctuary. Annapuna Base Camp is situated on a top of the flat valley with a number of lodges. Enjoy lunch in the lodge restaurants and marvel at the glorious stunning panorama of the Snow Mountains range.
The view stretches from Annapuna South, Huin Chuli to the south with Annapuna-I, Vara Shikar / Annapuna Fang; with Gangapuna Himal towards North-West. The views include Tent Peak / Tharpu Chuli as far towards Machhapuchare Himal and Glacier Dome in the north east.
Day 10: Trek to Bamboo 2,050 m - 06 hrs.
After wonderful and mesmerizing time at ABC, a long day trek of the adventure but easier on downhill. Includes a few steep ups walking back on the same route past Dovan to Bamboo for ovenight halt.
Day 11: Trek to Jhinu-Danda, a place with hot spring 1, 700 m - 06 hrs.
Day 12: Short last day walk and drive to Pokhara 860 m- 03 hrs.
Enjoying the last ovenight on the high hills of Annapuna Himalayas, a short walk across a bridge to the road-head. Then get on board a local vehicle for an exciting drive to Pokhara by the Phewa Lakeside. Rest of the day at leisure for individual activities before dinner in one of its many fancy restaurants.
Day 13: Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu with afternoon free at leisure.
As time for a short scenic flight to Kathmandu, transfer to Pokhara Airport for a sweeping smooth air jouney. After a grand panoramic view of country landscapes and snow peaks, then landing at Kathmandu airport.
From the airport, a short drive back to your hotels, rest of the day at leisure for solo activities.
Day 15: International departure for homeward bound.
Final day in Kathmandu and Nepal, as time for your intenational flight for homeward bound or next port of call. Transfer to Kathmandu, Nepal intenational airport bidding farewell to your guide and staff, after a marvelous and enjoyable adventure on Ghorepani and Poon Hill with Annapuna base camp trek.
